Study: among Latvian supervisory authorities the most consultations provided before application of penalty by the Data State Inspectorate 10.07.2017
The leading export counselling and market analysis company in the Baltics, the limited liability company "GatewayBaltic" carried out a study on the Administrative procedures and business environment in Latvia from October 2016 to February 2017 as commissioned by the Ministry of Economics.
Based on the available data, as compared with other supervisory bodies in Latvia, the most consultations before application of penalty were provided by the Data State Inspectorate - 70%.
740 economically active companies in Latvia took part in the survey.

We also inform that on 15 June 2017 the State Data Inspectorate signed the cooperation memorandum on the implementation of the "Consult first" principle, encouraging the customer-oriented activity of public administrations authorities.
In total four departments of the Ministry of Justice signed the memorandum - the State Data Inspectorate, the Insolvency Administration, the Register of Enterprises and the State Language Centre.
