Bordāns: The new candidate for the position of the Director General of the SLS must be sought in an open competition 20.04.2020
Today, on April 20, the Minister of Justice Jānis Bordāns sent a letter to the State Chancellery with a request to hold an open competition for the position of the Director General of the State Land Service.
Mr. Bordāns stated: "We are looking for a highly qualified leader of change. Not only the technology and business environment is changing, but also the understanding of the role of public administration in the provision of processes and services. That is why the State Land Service must become a leader in implementing these trends. The State Land Service and its employees have huge potential, so I will be pleased to see a future leader with excellent innovation and efficiency capabilities and knowledge, including in the area of information technology. I invite everyone interested to follow the vacancies published on the website of the State Chancellery and apply as soon as this vacancy is published.”
Before organizing the competition, the Minister of Justice Bordāns will discuss with the State Chancellery the requirements set for the applicants and the competition regulations, as well as other necessary details to ensure a successful and transparent competition.
The State Chancellery will inform about the further course of the competition. The competition will be announced in May.
Taking into account the findings of the investigation of the disciplinary case initiated by the Minister of Justice Bordāns - by the order No. 172 of 7 April 2020, Solvita Zvidriņa was released from the position of the Director General of the State Land Service .
