20.06.2017 On 22 June this year, the Pre-marital training programme will be launched for individuals who wish to register the marriage at a Civil Registry Office, allowing the first ten couples to learn and form a better understanding of the legal, psychological, ethical and domestic aspects of marriage.

112 Latvian families have participated in the pilot project “Free mediation in family disputes”

15.06.2017 Already 112 families in Latvia have used the free mediation sessions under the framework of the pilot project "Free mediation in family disputes" implemented by the Ministry of Justice and the Council of Certified Mediators. The pilot project provides the opportunity to receive five free sessions with a certified mediator to solve parental disputes regarding the interests of children and to find an opportunity to improve the family relationship.
